I am so excited to share this wedding on my blog today! You know when you just know that the bride and groom are best friends…and they love each other with that beautiful, unconditional love? Well that’s Meggie & Price – it was obvious from the first time I met them over coffee and drinks at Urban Farmhouse. They just seem to really “get” each other. They met through Meggie’s brother and slowly became friends and then eventually realized they were interested in each other on a deeper level. They share their love of the ocean, the beach, surfing, skateboarding, and basically all things outdoors (especially Hawaii!!)
Meggie & Price were married on a [very] chilly November afternoon at Dellwood Plantation. They opted to do a first look and I’m so glad they did! They also wrote their own, private vows and read them to each other during this time. Meggie wore a circular patterned lace, fit and flare gown made by Davinci Bridal, it fit her like a glove and she looked beautiful! Price wore a blue suit by Express. The flowers were created by a family friend, Robert Branzelle – boasting magnolia leaves, dusty pink roses, and lots of greenery! The bridesmaids wore different shades of lavender and pink dresses, all purchased at David’s Bridal.
The reception was held at The Highlands Country Club in Chesterfield, VA. Meggie & Price shared their first dance to a reggae song, and danced under a handmade sign (by Meggie) that lit up the word of the day, “LOVE”. Throughout the reception space, there were wooden signs with quotes and scripture hand lettered by Maria Vaught Handlettered Designs. The reception space was made to feel so cozy with a fire burning in the stone fireplace and hearth. Instead of Meggie’s father making a speech, he instead wrote her a song and played it while sitting on the hearth and I swear there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Such an incredibly special moment for them. Meggie & Price danced and visited with their friends and family for the rest of the evening and were sent off under a tunnel of sparklers. It was such a beautiful day and Meggie proclaimed it was “the best day ever”. Which is exactly what I love to hear!
Congratulations, Price & Meggie…I am so happy for you two!
