Jenn is one of my oldest friends.  We met in high school and quickly became best buds.  We spent countless hours getting into all kinds of trouble throughout our high school years!  When Jenn left for college, I stayed home and we eventually lost touch over the years.  When Nate and I moved to Richmond 4 years ago, I knew Jenn had moved here recently as well.  I reached out and we rekindled our friendship in our new city and I am so glad we did!  Last fall, Jenn texted me saying that she had a wedding for me to shoot in May and I quickly told her, “Sorry! May is booked up! (I already had 4 weddings booked) but then told me is was HER WEDDING!  To which I replied, “Well duh…I’ll shoot your wedding, are you kidding?!” I am so excited for their small, intimate wedding this May at Linden Row.  It’s going to be incredible.  And I’m going to cry.

Jenn and Paul met through a mutual friend, and while it wasn’t love at first sight, it was love very quickly 🙂  Instead of a proper proposal, they decided through lots of conversation that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.  Jenn and Paul went to a custom jewelry maker to design a custom ring – the band and center stone is Paul’s grandmother’s and the stones surrounding came from her mother and grandmother’s rings.  It’s a truly special ring that suits Jenn’s style perfectly.

Their engagement session was so much fun as I got to explore a new place in Richmond and spend time with two pretty fantastic people.  I just recieved their film scans from this session and I can’t wait to share those later this week!  Until then, enjoy a few of my favoerites from their digital collection.
