Alex and Jackson were married on the most beautiful spring day in Charlotte, NC. They tied the knot in a sweet ceremony at Whitehead Manor surrounded by 150 close friends and family. Alex and Jackson decided to share a First Look and they were so excited to see one another! In a tear filled meeting, they shared hugs, kisses and gifted each other some incredibly sweet (and a few funny) gifts. Alex gave Jackson a wooden box with his monogram and inside was a bottle of cologne, a pair of Wolverine socks, and a a letter from Alex hand-stitched on a handkerchief. Jackson gifted Alex with a bottle of Chanel No.5 perfume and a silly gift – a voodoo husband doll that Alex got a real laugh out of!! Since Alex and Jackson chose to do a first look, we were able to do their romantic portraits following their first look. They rocked their portraits!! Alex and Jackson looked stunning from start to finish!
Their day was filled with little personal touches (which i just LOVE!) such as Alex carrying her grandmother’s handkerchief, a tiny statue of their pup on their sweetheart table, a goblet that has been passed down through now 4 generations, and more! I seriously love it when the bride and groom incorporate heirlooms of their families into their day! Alex looked like a princess in her Mori Lee taffeta ballgown with sparkles and the bright pink peony bouquet made everything pop! My favorite feature of her gown was the covered buttons that lead all the way down the train. Jackson wore a handsome dark grey suit with a matching pink rose boutonniere. The bridal party was perfection in their pink chiffon and lace dresses. The guys wore matching dark grey suits.
The most important part of the entire day, though, was looking around and seeing all of the people that love Alex and Jackson so dearly. They are surrounded by a fantastic group of people. I know that as they embark on this new chapter as husband and wife that they will be in good company. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Cozort!
Alex and Jackson had some incredible vendors come together to make their day so beautiful! Thank to everyone who made their dream day possible! A special thanks to my wonderful second shooter, Julia!
